Intended Audience: the group of people a medium is created specifically for

Creating a Table on Microsoft Word

How to Create a Table on Microsoft Word

1. Open Word
2. Create a new file (click on Word Document)
3. Click on Tables on top browser. 
4. Click on New
5. Highlight the number of many rows and column you want 
     Grade 5s: 4 columns, 3 rows

To delete lines: click on the Erase button and drag over lines you want to erase.

Here are your instructions for today's tasks:


Task 1:

1. Create a new document: Typing Test Scores
2. Save it in the Grade 5 folder.
3. Create a table in your file with the following:
  • Title
  • 7 Columns:
    • Date, Typing Speed, Errors, Adjusted Speed
  • 5 Rows

Task  2

1. Finish: Covert and Overt Messages
2. Print it and put in on the wooden table with the pencil crayons and scissors. 

Task 3

1. Go to: www.typingtest.com and practise your typing skills. Record every attempt in your Typing Test Scores document (created in Task 1).

NOTE: If you have already finished Task 2 (Overt and Covert Messages) complete Task 1 and 2. Complete your table (5 tries).
