1. What is a Glog? What are the conventions of a Glog?
Text should be not bolded. All text should be the same font and size. Leave at least one space between questions. Print double-sided.

2. How did I create my Glog? Explain the complete process.
You title should be centred, underlined and bolded.

3. What techniques did I use to create my Glog? Were any of these new?
Your name and date should at the top. Include your first and last name.

4. What message am  I trying to communicate?
There should be sufficient spacing your name/date, title and answers.

5. What did I learn about creating a text for a specific audience and purpose? (E.g. How does the audience affect how I design my poster? How does my purpose affect how I design my poster? What did I learn?)
All work should be saved as the title. All work should be saved in your Grade’s folders.

6. What new technologies did I learn about? (E.g. Did I learn how to do anything differently? Did I learn how to create anything new? Did I learn about any new websites? Did I learn how to copy and paste images from the Internet?)
Check these expectations before you call Miss Ali to check your work. Miss Ali must approve your work before you begin.

Create a penciled/electronic draft version as well that must be submitted to Miss Ali before you begin working on your Glog online. This draft should consider all of the Expectations.

Grade 8: Online Interactive Poster Expectations



Wesley Christian Academy is a great place to learn and grow!

Use the technical skills you have developed on Edu.glogster.com and understanding of Media Literacy concepts: intended audience and intended purpose, to create an online interactive poster that advertises Wesley to children.

This poster should attract children not adults. You may choose to target all ages or focus on a specific age group (Grades 1-3, 4-6 or 7-8). 


To be successful in this assignment follow the guidelines outlined below:


1.     Design you poster for a specific target age.
o   Grade 1-3, 4-6, 7-8 or all grades.
o   Use child-friendly language, colour, etc.

2.     Showcase what makes Wesley Christian Academy unique and special.

For example:
o   Great place to learn: What do you learn? What textbooks do you use?
o   Great teachers
o   Sports
o   Extra-curricular
o   Safe
o   Lunches

3.     Include the following conventions
  • Title, subtitles
  • Text
  • Relevant pictures
  • Links 
  • Youtube video (of Wesley Christian Academy)
Self-created video (this will be done last in the lab)
o   Welcome students to Wesley
o   Why you love Wesley Christian Academy
o   Why students should come to Wesley Christian Academy
